I had a bad copy of the beta, the MD5 didn't check out, and it was giving me the 8007241 error code, so I redownloaded it, took about an hour. I checked the MD5 and it was good. So then i tried to burn it, but heres the issue. Nero wants to burn it as a cd, not a dvd, even though the file is the correct 3.12Gb size. The other one i had, the one with the bad MD5, Nero wants to burn as a dvd. So whats wrong here, why is it showing up as a .iso for a cd, not a dvd? Is there any small, unovtrusive, easily removed burining rom that I can use to force it to burn as a dvd? Thanks for any help.

burn issue, CD not DVD
A .ISO file can be either a CD image of a DVD image.
The .ISO extension is used for both.

would be nice to see a dvd issue that did not end with a post like this from rick! (and i am probably opening myself up to a flaming...)
More helpful: what version of nero are you using? I am guessing that the first copy with an incorrect md5 burnt to dvd ok otherwise you would not have tried the install and run into the error? if did not burn it successfully: can you burn a dvd at all with nero? Could be as simple as having a cdburner selected instead of the dvd burner when you open the image file... i have done this at least once and it was confusing as hell until i realised my mistake. Can you mount the image from a utility such as daemon tools? if so does the mounted image open correctly with a full file system?
I am assuming XPSP2 is your os?
More information would be helpful and might save you another 3gig download if there is nothing wrong with the image.
